YES.

As stated:P CDL in as soon as you hit the sand. Leave it in until you get back on the hard stuff.

Air down to 16 psi max and lower as needed. I go as low as 6-7 psi offroad if necessary, and have never lost a bead.

Try that and see how you go before changing your tyres.

Alex, you can go down to 12PSI on Stockton with no problems, just don't make any sudden sharp turns. Momentum over the sand, no harsh braking, and get on the LROCS training day up there. Also PM Cal415 - he all but lives on Stockton and knows it like the back of his hand,

31x10.5 bfg all terrains 12-15psi stockton beach all the time and never once got stuck or even close to stuck never busted a bead either and that's in the dunes or on harder stuff :) mate had 33x10.5 bfg muddies on his cruiser and done same but rolled one of rim :o for beach you want small wide and smooth tyres !

A few Victorians I am friends with met with us at Robe one year, I convinced them to bring their Simex... They worked well too...

Hi All

Paddles on beach buggy tyres where the go once, for climbing sand dunes and beach running.

Tractor tyres for working in sand are fitted in the rolling direction, that is that the V pattern left behind in the tread mark points to the direction of travel.

Road pattern tyres with ten or twelve plys might last longer with the things associated with sandy roads, such as heat, sharp rocks, wattle and mallee roots.

Not all sand is the same it varies greatly with moisture/ heat and how fine it is.
A rule applies in one state and everyone criticizes what someone from other another state says but you can all be right
