OK, TRS want $4500 for all the bits I need, not including the tray. And then I'd have to get it all here. They want $1500 just for a pair of rear doors. Also I had a quote from the manufacturer of my tray of $1500 to cut it down and respray. On that basis it's not looking too viable. But it's just a start. I'll keep looking.
So you have 2 options : $6500 + labour and all the little bits to get it together so say 6 months of playing in the garage on the weekends,or
Have a look around for a 130 DC that you can trade yours for around $6-10k change over, depening upon how much you value your weekend.
The other thing you may need to look at is insurance, wether they will insure it, how much and if there is a difference between a factory dc and a conversion.
Add around $500? for engineer's ticket -seating / body shape change (legality).
My thought's were it's cheaper to buy complete vehicle than parts (over 5k from wreckers), swap body then onsell donor, but I'm looking for 110 wagon & a 200tdi will fit as well ( but a 300 will give me lotsa spares) All bit's and pieces there then, but is double the work + 2x engineers tickets & rego to onsell donor, still reckon may be best way to go for me (just need to convince other half we need another land rover laying around, the 109's might have to go)

110 300tdi
As long as the donor vehicle is still registered or a repairable write-off, that is ok but you gotta be carful as if it's a total write off the chassis etc will not be allowed to be re-regoed.
