This works for us. I keep it well lubricated with Lanotech or similar. I have had it in this position for about 10 years now. The Oky strap stops the handle from bouncing. I can also insert a padlock on the right bracket.

I made a mounting bracket that clamps around the 75x50 RHS of my wheel carrier. I sold this one to another forum member because I'm going to make another one that incorporates a light pole....when I get time :(

This is what I did - Each of these mounts is welded on and now has a stud in which goes through the rack and a wing nut holds it down. I then used a bungee to stop the handle rattling.
