Just a quick on the speed V's rpm on the Puma...... I may just have to go out and check but I recall 3K rpm equals 140Km/Hr wait a second.....
Yours is faster than mine,it'll only do 135. Pat
Pat303,
I have to fess up, that is from a loaner I had prior to purchasing mine. It inspired me though. I will have to check mine as it is newer the one following Using anti-stall in Puma then traction control - YouTube is a 2007 model. I have only been up around or just over the 130Km/hr mark in mine. Did a tank full at that speed and got 11.5-100, so not too bad.

Mine now goes up to 155 like a rattle, its actually alot quicker than my previous Disco TD5 and better on fuel.![]()
[QUOTE=Lou and after recent dealings with Toyota Australia, to own as well. Nothing that fails on a 70 Series (and believe me there is a lot more than they like to admit) is considered waranty by the happy men in Red and white!

We also seem to have this problem with our Hi aces,it seems once you have left the showroom, they just don't want to know you.
I have always found LR the complete opposite.
One thing i do notice with the Puma is how smooth the engine runs through the complete rev range compared with the D2 TD5.But then again this would be expected with a newer designed engine.
My Mercedes Sprinter have 2.2 cdi, 680.000 km, bruto weight much more than 3.500kg, still going fine.
I buy new DEF 2.2, drivig similar my old Def 2.4 but sound much beter and not so noisy![]()
FWIW - The new 2.2 is NOT the same as Freelander. It is still a 'Puma' engine.
