I meant 180 Deg F. I went by a photo of the dash- too lazy to go down to the garage.
I run Redline oil & the transfer case has a Marks finned oil cooler- not many of those around

With hard 4wd stuff, it rarely gets to 140deg f
180F is still 82C, so not too bad. (Personally, I find that any Fahrenheit gauge makes me nervous with its big numbers.)
Anyway, if (whoever it is - I've lost track!!!) already has a Roverdrive, use it with a gauge and see how you go, and if you need to you can easily sell it. The finned sump plate won't make a blind bit of difference, (the fins aren't fine enough, but it's better than nothing), and you can run synthetic oil once the overdrive is run in, and that's about all you can do.
At any given point in time, somewhere in the world someone is working on a Land-Rover.
