Door handles are still plastic, the same as last years and year before that....

It is only the rear door handle that has changed to a new look. The rear door handle has always been made from metal.

Thank bugger the Td5 never got known as The Storm after "Project Storm" which was it's engine developement program name same as the 2.4 Tdci program was known as "Project Puma".
The Land Rover engineers I knew at the time all called it 'Storm'

No, completly different motor to the Freeland.

The 2.2 in the Defender is the "Ford Duratorqu 2.2" or engine code "PUMA".

    Hi Guys

After finishing Smeg (S3), my work truck is up for renewal (Ford Ranger) so I have done what any sane Landy nut would do and have ordered the new 2.2 Defender in Orkney Grey. Apparently it is being delivered 29/12/11, but knowing car dealers, I will believe it when I see it. ONLY 5 MORE SLEEPS TO DEFENDER DAY!!!!!!!!

Noticed this sticker on the chassie rail of my ‘MY08’ last time I was under it.
Interesting what is says under ‘discription’. I wonder if there's a similar stick on a new 2.2 model????
