well as i wrote before,ecu upgrade in Perth,egr done etc and a 40k service...and im ucky to get 270 before the light comes on,had it as bad as 22.5 per 100,yes i was towing a small camper but after 8k and got to qld i know summats wrong.Rovertec...you can put it rite im my opinion.
I've never tried to see what I can get out of a tank as I put the extra 45 ltr tank in as soon as I got the Puma.
It averages 10.5/100 with normal camping loading (full to the brim with the Cooks gear and a few beers :angel:) or just around town as well, but towing the van approx. 1.5T it does 13/100.
I'm quite satisfied with those figures as they're far better than the 3ltr Prado we had before which I put down mostly to a better range of gears being 6 as opposed to just 4 and auto.

I've got a MY13 110 (Puma 2.2). I've had it about 9months and it had about 11K km on it. I added a 45l aux tank pretty much right away. Before adding a full roof rack I got 11.2 to 11.5 per 100. After adding the roof rack I get 12.0 to 12.3 (as expected) though the last tank was 11.4 (so I'm thinking I didn't fill it up all the way). It doesn't seem to make much difference if its around town (regional centre so not much stop/go) or on the highway, fuel consumption stays much the same and, IMHO, is not so good. OK, not bad but worse that I expected. I've never got into the 10s let-alone 9.5 as advertised.
IS something wrong or is it still running in? Its now got about 22K kms on the clock and just had a service from a dealership (couple of tanks ago).
Trying to drive conservatively I usually keep the revs about 1500 to 2000 (2500 when accelerating) as I read in another thread. For one tank I did keep the revs up a little more but that seemed to give poorer results.

Hi Rob, I've been struggling with the same question. We've been running around pretty much since new (now at 45k on the clock) with the Wrangler MTRs, roof rack (sometimes RTT), front + rear bar and getting just over 12l/100km out of our 90, which I thought was OK but not great, especially as I generally drive like a granny and after reading all the good numbers posted here.Quote:

Note the good folks here tell me that the CRD enhancer effect can also be achieved by ensuring you use high quality fuels, which I now tend to agree with, but you don't always have a choice.
2013 Puma 90 with 20000kms on the clock, fairly stock standard in which I am averaging 8.7L/100kms. Mind you, I do drive like a granny, but I am not driving a Ferrari after all...
Mine came good once it had near 100,00K on it,the first 50K the thing drank like an Irishman. Pat
I've got a 2010 110 and I just got over 630km out of the tank, which even I was surprised at, considering I did the driver training weekend with LROC and the thing was in low gear alot of the time, mind you it was out to lithgow and back and cruising in 6th on the motorway, so maybe that had some part to play.
standard tank, no load and sitting at 91,000 kms on the clock.
Mine (2010 2.4 90) now averages 10.9km/ liter or 9.2liter/ 100km in daily driver mode. I've got a BAS map and an Alive intercooler which made a decent difference, but I personally think the switch to turning the 90 into a 2 stroke did the trick...
Justin on here suggested a lean mix of 2 stroke oil to quiet the injectors down on a Puma and I did a bit more research. Turns out Germans have been running 1:200 mixes of mineral 2 stroke in their diesel engines ever since the sulphur has been removed in the late 90's. Sulphur being a lubricant and the diesel in many countries actually being bad for engines regardless of manufacturers claims. Its however got to be a good 100% mineral 2 stroke like Castrol 2T as semi and synthetic 2 stroke separates in the diesel.
I know every fuel manufacturer claims "cleaner diesel", "we know better" and "if it was better we'd be adding it", but in the end they're just out to make as much money as possible and why add cost to the product if it meets minimum specification.
2500km so far on the 2 stroke diesel and she's running smoother, quieter and I'm getting some crazy fuel figures. Easy conversion as well as 40 litres is 0.2 liter or 200ml.

Have 65000KM on james. Normally 550-580km before the light comes on.
in the city i usually get 620km before the light goes on.
most ive ever squeezed out of a tank was 680. that was driving no more than 80
