    I thought I had a stainless exhaust until I found a magnet sticks to it.
    so no worries about wrapping it.

    I'd drain the gearbox and t-case oils and refill with the correct spec if you are unsure what was used.

    Using Syntrax and Syntrans in my 110 dropped driveline temps and improved shifting.

    Try checking with your mechanic to see what oil they put in your gearbox. If they used good old generic 90 grade gearbox oil this may be your problem. I changed mine to Castrol VMX-80 and it made a significant difference to smoothness and responsiveness in the Defender gearbox.
