Where's the Defender wave gone?

Saw 3 Deafeners on the Kwinana and Mitchell Thursday coming up from the deep south..... Waikiki anyway. :-))
Waved to all but trouble was 1 was on an overpass and 3 were on the south bound side.... and we were in the daughters Honda....

the Mrs got a big fat wave back from a "nice looking newish grey defender" heading South towards Hobart on the Lyell highway last week. All the more amazing as she was in the Ford.

I got a nice wave from a black 110 on Stud Rd , we saw each other well before the wave , I was in a Keswick green 110 , so if you are on this site Hi Jim

had a nice chat with a Landy lover in the car park of the Library at New Norfolk yesterday. He seemed impressed with Woodstock and gave me his phone number with a request to call him if I ever thought of selling. Wasn't sure whether he'd just come out the pub or the Opticians ?! Nice bloke.

Great drive today from the Hawkesbury down the NSW south coast of Sydney (Wollongong to South of Nowra). Went to visit a friend down at Sanctuary Point

Is this where the Defender owners are :-)

I got to Wollongong and saw at least 5 Defenders in a few hours - we swapped waves - coming back I sadly missed waving to a white 110 (black roof) in Nowra at a set of lights as we crossed paths - my wife pointed out that the person was waving - I was off in my own world

and missed the wave --> my bad!

Over the easter break (qld school holidays) I drove back and forth from Mackay to Ayr, at least 6 times (300kms each way). Was driving the wifes laser and a truck, saw HEAPS of defenders. Since getting back home to Mackay, I think i've seen 1 defender! What the?????????? where did they all go!?!?!?!?!?

I never get to wave much these days.

Anyone travelling around WA getting waves from a bus driver please wave back

I won't advertise the tour company I work for, but I am always waving at you and your Defender as I travel around the state and Perth city diving one of the many buses and 4WD tour buses.

I waved at a Disco 1 today. No wave in return. On closer inspection, I noticed it was driven by a bloke whom I've known all my life. You know, the kind of bloke who drags you aside wherever he finds you and gives you a good hours ear bashing? Well I'll be having a good slice of him next time he does it.

I waved at a Grey 90 yesterday, the bloke looked at me as if I was mad

Obviously one of those types that bought a defender because it was ending production.
