The Cook always gives a wave to Defenders.... and we drive a Prado!!!!
It's a habit dating back to our Defender days.

I always wave.. although sometimes the traffic is hectic or I don't spot the Defender until it's too late (then I feel guilty lol).. I don't always get a wave back though..

I wave at every Land Rover the freelanders don't respond though, except for ausfree and Mrs inside

I never have had a wave from the 2 RRS I pass every day, maybe they will get sick of me waving and wave back one day

I had one older guy in a 6 wheel drive defender drive past me for years, he never waved, he does now

ah well, I will keep the hand out the window and wave

So if you see a series III with a hand out the window it is me

Oh and for the record, I usually pass at least 3 to 4 Landys every day and I live in the back blocks

    Probably noticed the QLD plates

You want to try waving from a 101. The usual reaction goes something like...

Is that guy waving at me?

    What is that...

Oh, I see, its a Land Rover....wave back....oops too late.

I wave at all Deafeners and older series. This action probably looks stupid sometimes when I'm driving an X-Trail, but I still do it out of habit.
