I was driving with a friend the other day. He is keen on the defender and I was giving him an honest appraisal of the good and the bad etc.
Then a 90 passes on the far side of the street giving a wave- I wave back.
"Who is that?" my mate asks.
"I have no idea" I reply
"Why does he wave then?"
"Well.... we are all apart of one team" I reply
(5 minutes down the road same thing happens with 130)
my mate says," I want one"
good story, what defender do you have, when I see you i'll give you an extra big wave :)Quote:

Saw you in Carmilla a couple of weekends ago. I have a Keswick green with white roof 90. We were towing a box trailer with camping gear..... and yes we were going to carmilla beach to camp... was pretty good there but too crowded for my liking. have to go somewhere more hospitable next time :angel:
I normally get around Mackay though.
I've passed 4 Deefers in the last week and not one of them lifted a finger. Maybe they were loan cars of Rangie wannabees.
On the other hand once these folks get bored with their toys they will ensure supply of quality second hand never taken off road 90's ripe for customisation... ;)Quote:

There's an older woman around my way (likely in her 70's - I guess I need to be careful there as I haven't had that good a look at her and she might be younger) but she almost shakes her arm off waving, so good to see and yes it's an older white Defender with the cheesecutter tyres.
