While waiting to board the Spirit of Tasmania today at Devonport we got some really enthusiastic waves from a green Puma 90 and a Silver 110. As they disembarked.

My thoughts exactly, none of this bull**** about - "I'll only wave if the rig fits a certain criteria" if somebody has bought and is driving a defender, it's not for the comfort or refinement, it's for a purpose and for all the charm, charisma and idiosyncrasies that come with it.
So in saying that I'll wave at EVERY defender I see and anyone else that's driving something from the green oval brigade
Well I was blown away, I got a wave from a Range Rover on the Brisbane valley highway. I drove a disco 2 for 10 years and never got a single wave from anyone in that time. I love being in a defender again.
Just got back from a Townsville trip, and its alive and well in QLD. Didnt see many, but the ones I did only one didn't wave.![]()

Cook and I got ignored again yesterday, this time it was a new white Puma 90 parked right next to us at Burns Beach!
I'd spotted them pulling in and gave a wave, his Mrs saw me do that but turned her head away.
Maybe she didn't like the look of me.....
