I would say that most would run on C40 unless in convoy with others.
Every time I've passed and tried to contact someone on the UHF, there's not been a response.
This leads me to believe that Very few drive with the UHF on unless in convoy.

I rarely have mine on around town. Too many brain dead morons on it and I would rather daughter not have the profanity bombarding her.
Out in the country I scan 1,4,5,29 and 40.
Am I missing any important channels?
Actually there was an agreed channel some time ago...was a few years ago now.. think it was 15 or 16 not really sure though
Good to see you back Sue it been a while since I have seen a post from you:(

I got a nice nod and smile from a truck driver today whilst out in "zara" :D
Things are looking up ;) Bet he owns or wished to own a series vehicle :)

Thumbs up from the driver of a White-Black Roof Puma 90 this morning and a wave from the driver of a Grey 130 Puma today.
One week of driving a Defender and 3 waves already, who says the wave is gone?
Waved to a nice blue 90 in Edithvale / Chelsea area, got a wave back too!
Pickles.
A few waves yesterday on the way down to Maitland from the Upper Hunter whilst in our white Defender 110. The wife still thinks it's weird but I'm confident she'll come around to it in time.
Went for a drive down to Hastings/Flinders today with the dog.
Was happy to see it alive and well around there.
Quite a few Landies over that way too :D
Dealer took my 110 to have the new wheels fitted this afternoon. I reminded him to wave if he saw any other defenders. Just in case they remember my car in the future. Its only 2 blocks he had to go but still, the wave is very important :D
But i dont think he understood ......;)
So your dealer is not a true believer.;)
Mine had apparently owned one before, and also explained the wave as part of my new car inspection / familiarisation.
