I hardly get any waves. Last weekend was good, coming back from a camping trip in Hill End, 6 waves including one from a discovery :D . I think they must have all been coming back from the Land Rover expo!

I got a wave from a Disco this arvo. He was heading north on Marmion and I did wave back.;)
AlanH.
Got a wave from a disco towing a trailer heading through the mountains.
Also saw some odd looking yellow series thing through Blaxland I think. Was awesome.
Several Defender waves were interchanged during my journey from Sydney to Abercrombie river and back, and there were a few which were not. Overall my experience so far, is that PUMA drivers will hardly ever wave (probably about 10%), Perentie owners probably too busy concentrating on driving in a straight line so they don't even notice you're there and trendo special edition D90s in the inner city don't even know what they're driving so you wont get a wave out of them either.
I ALWAYS wave even tho my 90 is black all over(well the scratches do show tho) not quite trendy inner city but on the beaches lots of wavers in this neck of the woods
I gave a few waves over the weekend in my new Defender but none returned except amusingly from a couple of really nice cops we met in Bridgetown today who let my 6yr old have a sit inside their car. Passed them about an hour later and got a wave.
And hey... Stop hacking on us puma drivers! I always wave except when Im on the phone to land rover assist calling for a flat bed.
I was driving back from a tough, muddy weekend up in the Watagans on Sunday afternoon when a wonderful dark green, unmodified Puma Defender 110 started to loom large in the rear view mirror.
I love how it feels like such an 'owner's club', just seeing another Defender on the road.
Anyway they were going a bit quicker than me and it wasn't long before they were right alongside me, in the middle lane (naturally I was trundling along at 100 in the left lane, knowing my place!).
As always, I looked across to admire the truck and give a hearty wave and/ or thumbs up and the lady in the passenger seat was smiling and waving like a deranged child who'd just seen Santa Claus bringing her a sack of presents.
Brilliant.
You can't beat a bit of enthusiasm.

Lol... The other hand generally has a coffee... The Landy gives you time to smell the roses... Whether you like it or not!
Still love the damned thing.
