Today was a busy day for waves. Started with one from a black 90 in Claremont this morning and then this afternoon I was driving home on West Coast Hwy and got a wave from a black 110 and then a white 110!

Yeah but you don't live in Newtown or Redfern. Different breed (sorry for any newtownians but most are too busy sipping a latte in a trendo cafe).
I haven't had the best of experiences lately with return waves. Saw a nice red D90 Td5 today but the old geezer didn't even notice the 110 coming straight at him :(
Summer has finally arrived.
Now I can drive with the window down and not freeze, allowing full and proper waving technique! :D
Got a sore arm...spotted 3 Defenders today!
- A white 130 CCC with a trayon and a trailer going through Dubbo
- A blue 110 wagon in Trangie with a million stickers on the back
- A 110 crew cab with a camper trailer somewhere between Narromine and Dubbo.
Lots of waves lately. Two this morning driving down Stirling Highway in the morning and then in Perth I saw a Defender parking as I walked by and had a chat. got big waves from the drive byes and my wife is now laughing and waving back. In fact today she even drove the Defender twice!
Also amusingly tonight I was told our good family friend's daughter (6) has decided she wants to be like our son and also get a a defender when she grows up!
I was travelling East bound on the M4 (Sydney) this morning when I spotted a very nice looking red 110 Puma with a white roof heading West bound. No reply to my wave. A few minutes later also West bound was a good looking Series 3 tray-back ute. Again no reply to my wave.
To be fair, we were separated by 5 lanes of traffic moving at about 100km/h. In opposite directions. That's what I told myself anyway. I did however get half a wave (four fingers lifted off the steering wheel) from a Disco 4 driver.
The Red one was probably me :D
I saw 2 Defenders also and waved to both.
In the few weeks that i have had my car (TD5 xtreme actually) I have found 99 percent will wave. Even some not in Defenders.
I was on my way out to "Land Vehicles Spares" for a Blue Slip. Now have NSW plates and very happy.
Ah, silly me. I had just seen a very shiny red Defender with white roof and presumed from it's shine that it was a Puma...looked very new. My bad. Congrats on getting your plates. Did you meet up with that Series 3 a few minutes behind you?
My "zara" is not a defender but she gets plenty of waves:D
Last week we took her 200K's plus trip for our SLOw club dinner:) we got waves everywhere:D though some looked shocked, must be because we were in a 1978 vehicle:)
