0 in the Disco, I still wave anyway and enjoy the baffled/snooty/glazed looks I seem to get...

There's only one series vehicle I see regularly in Armidale, a light green shorty driven by a cranky local mechanic - never waves.

Keep waving Ashhhhhh, I had a cranky old man that never waved driving a 6x6 defender. As soon as he sees me in RED 130 or my series III the hand is out the window And what about Tony's lovely Series III?

Pretty sure Tony has left the series in Singleton and is driving some kind of "practical" vehicle for uni! Where's the Defender wave gone?

I ordered my first Defender in November, and production starts today, 13th Feb, with delivery in early May. Exciting times indeed.

While I haven't been waving, I am guilty of pulling over in my Camry when I see a great D and then take photos of it. On one occasion I was taking a pic of a well kitted 110 when another one drove past and honked. I promptly jumped back in my car and chased him down (didn't take long ), then chatted to him at a set of lights. He gave me his card and suggested I call him when I get my truck so I could join him on Sunday drives. How cool is that??

What a wonderful community, and one that I'm very much looking forward to joining.

I'm starting to get a complex. There are two female Defender drivers I regularly pass on the way to work. Nary a wave from either, despite some slightly obsessive over-waving that has been progressively increasing over the past months. I can see my efforts soon escalating to standing on the roof, Priscilla-style.

I've even started showering in case they can smell me across three lanes of Sydney traffic. I might have to comb my hair as well.

It's becoming an obsession and is now my life's mission to solicit a wave from at least one of them... stay posted...

If it is my wife, currently driving a loan Black / Silver roof 90 - Tell me !! and she will be band from driving it - She is aware of the wave etiquette - She has been told and did it for 4 years in South Africa - where woman needs permission from her husband to drive their defenders

Your wife is safe! I've got two 110s on Victoria Road playing their evil siren game with my mind.
