Thread: Where's the Defender wave gone?

Enjoyed my first few waves today in the new Puma (yet to be named). Didnt see another deefer for the first 2 weeks (either there werent any, or I was too busy not crashing it), then 3 in 5 minutes. Lets hope everyone keeps it up, its a great tradition. The only similar thing I've experienced is on holiday in King Island, where everybody waves at everybody! The first thing they tell you in the hire car info booklet. Should also be a first thing at the top of a Defender owners manual. That and how to pop the bonnet

No wave from a blue Defender tray back coming out of New Norfolk this a.m. Shocking.

the defender wave is strong in melbourne.

every one i have passed has waved with a big smile, its awesome so far.

misses still looks at me wierd when i see one and scream "defender" though.

Today chasing Landy parts all over Sydney, I've seen and waved at....
110 white defender who waved out at Dural. (TDCi)
110 blue defender who waved out at Dural. (200TDI)
Numerous series in paddocks out at Dural.(waved at them).
An awesome Green Bushrangie at Dural (Looked like it was on portals).
Dockstrada's awesome 110 SVX & the 90 LE that he's wrecking.
Defender 90 with the plates LR90TD (TDCi) coming out of the Hilton hotel (I waved but not sure if they saw me, also I think that they are a member on here).

I got a wave this afternoon across 5 lanes of M4 motorway... I was heading west and an east-bound grey 110 gave me a big wave. My window was closed, so I hope he had seen my return wave...

Returned several waves from Defenders in the area around Steve Irwin Way and Australia Zoo recently.

I always wave to guys and girls I see driving Defenders over here in NZ.....

and 9 out of 10 times i get a wave in return.....

Drove approx 1100Km in the last 4 days to lightning ridge and return. NO DEFENDERS
Doffed my hat for a fallen comrade- a red RRC rotting beside the Sheepyard hotel in the Glengarry opal fields.
