You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Completely missed an opportunity this morning. Travelling towards the city on Parramatta Road near Concord about 8am heading to work when a white 110 snuck up behind me and passed me in the right lane. By the time I noticed it, it was too late to wave.

If you're on here, many apologies. Great looking rig you have.

missed opportunity early this afternoon, having taken the Mrs for a ride in the 109 looking for waves - came back empty handed , parked up and was just disappearing behind the back of the house when a black defender went past. Bugger!
    cheers,

Ya know i initially was sort of excited people liked to wave at me in similar cars.

(IM Very new to the whole rover thing)

Various rover flavours infact so dont hate me this is a "defender thread", however after reading more and more of this thread i wont be partaking in that anymore.
I thought it was simply pommy stuff so people gave the wave.
Apparently its make and model related lol.

...... Walks away from this thread quietly while expecting a barrage of hate.

Confused... why would you get a barrage of hate?

If a disco waves to me and I see them I'll wave back. My gripe with the disco owners was from out last holiday (up north WA) where every other car make and model was waving except the discos.

Yer know, I am a bit ashamed, but I only tend to wave at Defenders (all types) or Series. This is only because I have found that most others don't wave back. However as I said earlier, I have noticed that a lot of the newer Pumas don't wave back and look at you like you are an idiot. But I won't stop waving. Kerry's on board and waves just as enthusiasticly as I do. We both think you're a bit miserable if you don't wave back.

I have a special move, where I put my index fingers up on either side of my head like horns, then I dip down and come back up in a worm-like motion.

It freezes oncoming passengers in their seats.

Good to hear you won't stop waving. I'm a new puma owner, and always wave and 99% of time receive waves back. In my experience puma owners have always waved back. I'm sure there are maybe a few new owners who are unaware, but at the same time it does seem unfair for anyone to develop a prejudice against puma drivers. I've had TD5's not wave back. Just depends on the individual. Not what engine they have under the bonnet or how shiny the paint is
