I do this all the time - in my excitement at seeing another Deafener or Wearies - I'll wave and then realise I'm driving the F**D. How about "My other car is a Land Rover" ?

I always wave, even when I'm in the Hyundai - although admittedly I get more puzzled looks than waves back. Much better response in the perentie

I got a big smile and a nod yesterday in Blacktown from a guy driving a very nice SWB open top Series. Looked to be ex-military. Fantastic looking vehicle. Anyone on here?

The Defender wave is well and truly alive in Perth. Its very rare for someone not to wave back!!

Passed two Defenders today. Got a very enthusiastic return wave from the 300 Tdi but the Puma just looked at me like I was an idiot!
I was in Everton Park Brisbane.

The Defender wave is alive and well in Orange. I've had over 10 waves over the past fortnight. There were two in a row (a 110 wagon behind a 90) crossing the main street travelling North along Anson St last week. Is anyone else in here from Orange?

I also waved to a 130 DC travelling west on the Wellington side of Molong last week. I had forgotten I was in the work ute (Landcruiser) and was amuzed by the shocked look I received in return.
