I drive a defender and there are 2 types of defender drivers that i find dont always wave.
    1) these city hipsters that have bought a defender as a fashion accessory and arent awareof the vehicles heritage and tradition
    2) the older generation 110/defender owners who some how think they are better than everyone else.

The latter of the 2 does my head in. In fact there is a 130 driver that lives around me who never waves. Probably waved at this bloke 20 plus times over the years and never once waved. Id love to ask him why he has never acknowledged the wave..........maybe hes an arrogant pr....k.

    Wow.....what a rant. Thats my 2 cents

No probs Billy 😊 ...yes a surreptitious mark of respect.
I too have had others nod and call out more openly, but usually they're not Toyota drivers 😎 ...Even the Toyota drivers I've pulled out of bogs over the years have all surreptitiously thanked me. 😇

I've had a few of those nods. From Jeeps, Cruisers and Nissans in particular. I never considered them to be surreptitious. I took them to be a mark of genuine admiration, especially after one Patrol driver wound down his window and yelled, "Great car you've got there Mate.".
I've had young fellas yell out the window at me from their Hiluxs, "Great rig there mate" but it was very sarcastic... they obviously thought that they were superior, but that is ok because we all know the truth

Nice one debruiser, yes it's certainly the quiet confidence of Defender ownership that ****es many Hilux drivers off 🙃😎 cheers

    Angry Defender wave sitrep

Was just driving home and got wave-snobbed by a chick in a tricked out Corris Grey 110 Puma.

Left me feeling a little disenchanted and empty. Should be part of contract of buying a new Defender = Some sort of obligatory wave-clause.

We need to get our legal team to draw it up, we have one right?
