We were in Geraldton yesterday afternoon and this morning and got 3 from 3 in waves. 1 from 2 in Dongara on the way through. Saw the same white 110 we passed on the way up and they didn't wave either time. Passed a couple of Defenders on the way back into Perth with all but one waving. All in all a busy couple of days for waving.![]()
Got a lovely wave from a nice 110 yesterday in Sth Bris, it was Taz, 50LRO on here

Cook and I have been ignored twice recently despite vigorous waving and acknowledged once.
The stealer has to start making sure they tell all the posers buying them that it's mandatory to wave to other sufferers.....

Picked up my '98 defender 130 a few weeks ago and drove it from Noosa to Sydney overnight - gave and received 2 waves around dawn the next day near Newcastle - was chuffed !
Well, I've been conducting an interesting experiment, lately. Now I realise I'm not a Deefer owner ATM,but it's interesting all the same.
It seems I get a lot more return waves when I'm driving the Disco1, than I do (or did) driving either the Freelander, or the P38.
Now, if I was doing my PhD, I could probably get a research grant from the taxpayer for this study and you'd have to buy the result, but I'll give it to you for free - Deefer drivers are inverted snobs!! If someone else isn't likely to be suffering as much as you are you simply ignore them - green oval badge of not.
I shall now retire to my bunker and firmly lace up my fireproof suit.![]()

On my way along Gundaroo Drive in Gungahlin yesterday afternoon in my Keswick green 110, I received a blip of the horn accompanied by a flash of the headlights and an enthusiastic thumbs up, from the fluoro-clad driver of a white van as he drove by me in the other direction.
It was so unexpected I nearly dislocated my shoulder trying to get my right arm out the window in time to wave back![]()
