Anyone know if the bearing spacing is the same for front and rear hubs on an early 110 County (1985).
I'm trying to sort out parts for a rear disc conversion, and wanting to find out if front hubs will fit on the rear without actually pulling mine apart to check.
Alternatively, if anyone has a early rear stub axle or hub that they could measure so I can compare with the front hub I have here.

My parts manual ( STC9021CC ) does show the earlier front hub assembly to (VIN) KA930455.

Thanks Arthur, but it doesn't get me any further ahead. Looks like I'll have to pull a rear hub and measure it myself.
I've just spent all day doing rear wheel bearings on my daughter's Triton ute. What a mongrel job.
Almost makes me want to take the hub off the county right now just so I can wallow in how easy it is to do compared to the Triton ones

FWIW I've been putting off doing a certain coil rear Patrol ute wheel bearings for two years or so now (it has a weepy hub seal) as it's such a PITA job.
The leafer rear Patrol ute is dead simple as it's a full floater housing like the Landy or 'cruiser, but the coiler ute is not near as easy.
Glad its not just me sooking. First non floater I've ever done - got the old bearings off and the new ones fitted, but stuck now until I can get them to a mate with a bigger press as I just cant get the retaining collars home. They wont fit in my cheapie press as the backing plate diameter is too big

Steve I converted mine and from memory the bearing spacing on the stubs is the same. The hubs are different front and rear though.

I know the hubs are different between the drum rear and disc front, but if the bearing spacing is the same it will mean that I can fit the spare county front hubs I have to the rear - so I don't have to get new hubs or stubs

I'm working in the conversion right now, I still have the new parts over the table, so I can give you p.n., photos and measurements. It took me a long time to source all the bits because of the fear of buying wrong parts.
Let me know if you need some of the listed above.

Hi Steve. Bearing spacing is the same F-R. However if you use county front hubs you will need to machine custom caliper brackets. I tried the county hubs and stubs with defender caliper brackets and the hub fould the bracket by quite a lot.
So the options are:
(a) Defender hubs, stubs and caliper brackets
(b) County front hubs, county (rear or front) stubs, and custom brackets
(c) Perentie 6x6/RSFV hubs.
