Unfortunately that is not the case in QLD
However, in conjunction with an Auto engineer we have come up with a solution that may be the answer to all double cab and pick up owners child restraint woes. I'll see how it goes and let you know when I have made a plan.
Anyone know any LR strippers/breakers/scrappers and/or good steel fabricators in Brisbane.
Are double cabs and pick ups not classed as commercial vehicles in QLD and therefore exempt with regard to child restraints?
That's certainly the case in NSW!

I'd be confirming that with another inspector!Quote:

bs; go check out a new LR Defer and see if they have child restraint anchor points? If they do it is a recent addition or they are selling LRs with different fittings to that required in the rest of Aus. If a recent addition I can't see that the requirement would apply retrospectively none of the other ADR requirements do to the best of my knowledge.
