I made a cardboard template complete with aerial and vent cutouts and had a workshop cut mine out in 3mm chequer plate. Came in whole lot cheaper and stronger. Two wing tops and the bonnet came in under $200. Still have the template in the shed- if you want, I'll measure it up and send you the details....

I've had some really good and some really ordinary wing top protectors over the years. Attention to detail is the key here and the slight curve on the edges and the depth that the fixing holes are counter sunk to, all add to the overall look of quality.Most unfortunately looks rather "agricultural" while a select few companies creates a product you are willing to fix to a brand new car.

I couldn't agree more that attention to detail is the key. The curved edges make all the difference, the trouble is it's so much more work for me than just laser cutting a flat panel, but worth it overall.Quote:

IIRC I think I shaped the front curve on mine, I think they may have come with a bit of a fold, luckily I'm pretty handy with sheet metal work.
