I think so...you'd need the gadget to restore original map before (or if) it went to LR during your warranty period...easy to do though, takes 5 or so minutes...even I can do it! ;)

Just what Scallops said, I had my BAS map in for the last year of the warranty.
I just had to swap the tuned map for the stock before taking it to LR for service. They say it is undetectable that a tuned map was ever loaded...seemed to work as I was never questioned about it during warranty repairs.

The 2.2 is done we are at the moment working on a way to feasible and commercially pratical to install it onto public cars. I should be able to provide more info in the not to distant future.

I have been waiting until the end of warranty to chip mine as I found it a hassle to 'reset' the chip in the F250 we had before it's services.. and to be fair it wasn't that hard.. :cool:
Is it prudent to upgrade the intercooler when chipping ? I'm thinking from a dependability point of view, not so much performance since there seems to be gains in that anyhow.
Is there extra heat generated, or is it that the chip upgrade results in better efficiency ?

Warren is the boss at MR in Redcliffe - the local specialists. He (and I) only went with the flash upgrade. No difference in temp needle seen., engine "smells" the same etc!! There are other maps used if the other mods are done, so no - no actual need to do the lot if all you need is a base flash upgrade.Quote:
