I've owned a Defender Tanami for about 12 years now.
Mine had the full length decals and the Defender decal removed by the previous owner.
Seems that they may have been 'assembled by the dealer' (check the thread below). LR Australia claimed sales of approx 100-150 when I contacted their 'Defender Product Manager' 12 years ago, maybe this meant that they sold 100-150 sets of decals to the dealers ?

I remember reading some years ago that Les didn't make much money out of advertising the Tanami but I'm not sure if he was contracted to Land Rover at the time.
Didn't he advertise Disco's back in the 90's.
According to the article below he 'signed lucrative advertising deals with Fosters & Land Rover' and as part of his LR commitment he ran off-road expeditions for executives & VIP's.

Apart from his signature I wonder how much input he actually had on the Defender Tanami specification.

lro11 - I don't think any of them came with a winch
i never have seen a green one before.
i thought there were only 50 of them made- not that they were really made
Soon after I got mine I spotted a green one in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
If they were 'dealer assembled' then they could turn any colour Defender they had in stock into a Tanami.

Back in the mid-90s, Graham Perkes of the LROC in Sydney had a white one.
