Disco diff's in to defender easy?

Upon reading your post again, I realise you said Defender, not Disco. We agree on every point. Carry on, as you were! :D

Are the pinion lengths on the d1 diff and p38 the same length? i thought the rover style centre was longer and would require the tailshaft length changed?
