Don't get too cockie, if LR have it for 6 week of your first 8 weeks of ownership, and with less than 200km on the dial you may not be so bold.
They are a good truck, but they can be annoying truck as well.
I wish you all the best and hope your motoring is event free. I won't bring you down with what mine has had. Still it's a good, but hard to trust 100%
As an add on if the TDCi can withstand Tracey believe me it'll proove it's strengh,I love her to bits but that woman hasn't a mechanical simpathetic bone in her body. Pat
Oh, sorry, I don't have the best sense of humour. Thought it sounded a bit odd.
Funny you say that, back to the Tdi. I recently bought a Tdi with the initial idea of replacing the Tdci. All I tell say I'm crazy, but for me there is something in mechanical components not wrapped in electronics. I have been worn down a bit I have to say.
I can't say I'm all there yet, and I don't look at my 130 a lemon. It's just my car and this is my deal with a Defender. But i'm onto a brake booster and master cylinder now. I should be happy it's not electronical, maybe its just Land Rover?
Dunno mate, people had lots of issue's with Tdi's,I can't kill mine even when I try, leaving it running for 9 hours at work is but one example and my TDCi has done over 40K in 18months out here,it'll do another 10k over xmas carrying my gun gear to Kalgoorlie and then going down to Kangaroo island and back and nary a squeek to complain about. Pat
yes my apologies for bringing the tone of the thread down. Not meant to be a gloom session.
My Tdci has done 60K now, and goes camping on average 2 to 3 times a month off road somewhere usually. It did a 5 week 8K km trek into central Aus earlier in the year, and is gearing up for a another foray next year. M to F it's a daily driver and carries all my work crap around the place. So I guess it does alright for itself.
Mine has just clocked 48000, this includes towing my van. Just had it serviced at Rova Range and they found the R/H transmission mount had failed, good they found it, as we're going to the Vic high country on Saturday, also had 130 front springs and Terrafirma shocks fitted to bring the nose back to normal.
