, ,Hi , comming from the UK i've only known them as tropical roofs , however here in OZ they could well be called Safari . A bit like you call it a panel , and the poms call it a wing ....:wasntme:

Rover Part Number 334192 - Tropical Roof panel.
Safari roof is a nickname a bit like calling the dash panel a bulkhead.
Or a wing a fender?
Few pictures of the said 90. However I think its a Series 3 converted, Have alook at the lower grill section, blanking plate hiding the larger hole for a series 3 grill, not shown are the series 3 door handles, but early 90/110s had these.

Nice pics Juddy, do you often lurk in bushes taking pictures of land rovers ?:)
The windscreen frame and fuel filler also suggests this is a series with a face lift.
Put the camo back on, get back into the bush, up the tree, whatever you gotta do but this time throw a dive and roll under the rover to see if it has leaf or coils
Hi to all you roosters , I used to have a Stage 1 V8 109 Station Wagon , it's still in the family now owned by my cousin . It's got a tropical roof , for those that have never had one they do a good job , with Land Rovers flat windows , you notice the differance when it's been in the sun all day . Also you can open the little internal vents , they help let the heat out . The photos look like a mix and match series Land Rover with a face lift .;) cheers jimr1 ..
Notice the badge above the grill "OFFENDER" :o
