Mud Stuff Roof Console

Just resurrecting this not so old thread.
Anybody had one of these Mud Consoles posted out? It looks as though its disassembles into 3 parts to make it post able. UK forum reviews seem positive. I really want one to extend across the front, not the between driver passenger type. Other Mud products are available locally, maybe too soon for these? I can't find any online locally.

Agreed

I had one on my 110 when I bought it.

Sold it as it made me feel claustrophobic , not much room in the front of a defender as it is and this made it worse.

Would not mind the ones that go down between the driver and passenger

I bought one from British offroad last week and have it sitting in my garage as I still don't have a car for it to go into. 420 bucks from memory, I'm planning on using it to house most of my switches and a remote head UHF. I'll post pictures when I do the install

Have you installed the roof console yet? How dose it look and is it quite solid? As with the tax return about to come back i am looking at them.

I installed it a couple of weeks ago and am quite happy with the solidity and quality of the console. It went together easily and the instructions are easy to follow. Unfortunately the only photos that I have of it are poor quality but I shall upload some more when I get back from the mine.

Could you measure from the windscreen to the furthest back part in the centre, please. I want to know if it will fit with a sunroof. i know they say they don't, but I'm sure they haven't measured every type of sunroof.

How is it mounted to the roof ? is it solid ? Does it attach to fixed surface or just the headlining ?

Screws into the door frame and strengthing rib and fir trees in the headlining.
