Make sure your insurer covers you offroad as well.
DGA 4WD Insurance - based in Melbourne, cover you anywhere in Australia, on road or off road, and they are a pleasure to deal with. They are underwritten by Allianz.
They will cover you for all your accessories as well, they understand 4WDing and all the extras we need. Try them. :)

The max RACWA would insure my old S.V.X. was $61000 agreed value that was with all the extras. I cannot see any insurance company agreeing to
$70+ for any Defender, nor can I see the owner of said S.V.X. getting anywhere near that money for it.
