Well, I was told to bring it in at 8am so they could order the parts in and get it done within the day...

But basically nothing happened. they only changed 4 out of 5 wheels and broke one stud. Didnt get a hire car that day but I will insist on it he next time because I will actually need a car that day I'm here.

no point in having gone at 8am because they didnt change the tyres till 4pm anyway. it was parked where it was left at 8am so I dont even know how they could have gone about checking the hoses and the thermostat sensor..

Jools, its the sensor that keeps the core from freezing over. mine is stuffed as after a few hours the aircon freezes then stops blowing cold.

Engine seems to be better now though. just over 2000kms on it. getting used to keeping the revs under 2k which seems to have a fairly big impact on fuel economy.

but yeah, they said they will 'ring me' when the parts arrive. so basically I have to drive back to canberra with a broken car and back to sydney when the parts arrive. My aunt suggested I get them to reimburse the travel fee (or atleast fuel) because well, they did say they would have the parts within that morning and they didnt. now I have to spend on another full tank to get home and back. pffft.

but yes, next time it goes in I will mention I really need a loan car.

otherwise, I still love james. It's not his fault. lol looks way better with the dual finish wheels now I think...

    that morning..

with the wheels installed.. notice the missing nut and block off plate

and on top of that, they said they reversed our downpayment two weeks ago. its still not in the account. lol

Often you have to book weeks in advance for a loan car so it might pay to ask for a booking now - they will have a fair idea how long it will take for the parts to arrive..

    PS New wheels look great!

Yeah.. Otherwise reimbursement is fine.. I just got the vespa running today so id rather be going into the city on a vespa than an suv

And yes, orkney gray. They put new mtr tyres too. Atleast the wheels make me happy. I think its really changed the look!

Can i get my warranty work done with another dealer instead? I think today may very well be the last straw ive head with this current dealer. Their slack service and being given repeated runarounds is about to cost me in the region of 5k aud.
