By way of some sort of comparison, My R380 was rebuilt by Award Diffs (Terry) in 2008 and the transfer got it's bearings replaced. The removal and refitting was done by local bloke, including a new clutch. About $4,000.
Now done another 100,000km all good, although the clutch is showings signs it needs replacement.

We had something like that at work once but it was because we were importing wooden objects that needed to be pesticide treated on arrival. I think we ended up just paying GST.
UPS called to say I had to pay or they would not clear the lockers. When I asked why they said because it was over $1200. Had they sent the lockers one at a time I would have not had to pay. Go figureQuote:
