I bought a pair of the 10" Baja Design Stealth lights, mounted them on the roll cage roof light mounts - perfect fit.

They are very good - get a bit of reflection from the two aerials, but they light up the 40-50m in front very well, and the added height is great for seeing the holes and dips.

On the highway you'd need both.
80mtrs is not far enough at highway speeds - you're out driving the lights...

And guys - lumen output from the emitters is *theoretical* output..

    Not actual output.

    Just keep that in mind.

Thermal management is far more important.

also how does it attach ???

I generally don't like roof bars, but that one actually looks good.
I am not sure, I saw it on a website a long time ago before I got the full length rack but I was never able to find who sold it from memory.

I do like the look of it and was planning to make one up myself but then I got the full length rack.......

So far the only thing stopping me from purchasing from the US is the postage. As they don't usually ship to Australia, i have been quoted $350 to send the 50" light bar here

Does anybody know of a company or of a cheaper option for shipping?

Also what is the threshold for when import tax has to be payed and are there any "special" things that can be done to avoid this if the order is for more then one person?

    Thanks

    $1000 is the tax threshold

maybe check this mob out (includes postage quite often!!)

this is looking for 22.5" 120w cree

    Wholesale 22.5" 120w cree - Buy Low Price 22.5" 120w cree Lots on Aliexpress.com

These are often the cheaper site for stuff sold by the same people for more on other sites. (not specifically mentioning ebay...ooops ... damn...)

main difference is in a lot of cases you are dealing direct with the manufacturer.. worth a look about but be aware of two things

Price per piece or per lot...check it
postage ... free or generally exobident!!

All the cars Ive seen with light bars in the far north of SA have them to compliment spots not replace them, but set them so they can switch one or both off individually.
    cheers

Given that shipping from America to Australia can be upwards of $100 for these light bars, how can these companies afford to give free shipping?
