LED Light Bars?

Your photo of the controller had me worried as I bought one of these Tigerz11 winches as well; I installed the controller in a vulnerable spot - inside the bull bar. The winch has now been in for 15 month and done dozens of water crossings.
I opened up the control box on the weekend, photo below, looks like brand new, not a mark inside.
I lubeed up the seals, put it all back together, smudged some silicon on the outside - all good.

Because it had been pulled apart apparently it was my fault it didn't seal properly and wasn't covered under warranty.

Having never pulled it apart until this photo was taken I don't understand how it could be my fault it didn't seal but it leaves me wondering how their lightbars seal......

You get what you pay for, I bought a cheap winch and got a cheap winch..... I would suggest if you buy a cheap light bar you will get a cheap light bar but dont expect miracles.....

Yes, You are spot on the money there. The chinese ballasts have very bad shielding for the most part. I have HID's in the defender heads and in the Cibies. On low beam there is no interference but on hi all hell breaks loose with the radio! :eek: It is irrelevant if I turn the spots off as it seems to be in the hi beam of the heads ballasts. No amount of earthing will alter it. The HID spotties on the TD5 cause no such probs. Another reason not to have hid mains! Maybe? :p.
However the electronic controllers in LED lights can do the same if they have poor shielding or crappy components in them.
