Why a Defender is my everyday car

I've been a car's fanatic all my life. However, I'm kind of new (4 years) in the 4x4 scene. Right now I have a Defender 110 TD5, a pair of 88's Santanas and a Toyota Hilux 2.5 D4D with 100bhp....

Two months ago, my girl loose the car (the Defender) in a curve due to a bad steering wheel bearing (we didn't know at that moment, we figure it out this later). We hit the road division (around 35 cm high) at about 60 kph and made 2 360° maneouvers before she stops. Thanks God there were no people hurted, or cars hitted, just scary moments. The car suffer non a single problem because of this.

Wednesday, coming from work, I loose the control of the Hilux at about 70 kph in a curve (it had soft sand) because I hitted the throttle to the floor as usual in the Defender (Hilux is our "luxury" car, I don't like it, is to girlish and weak so I'm really bad in driving it), going through the separator and ending the other side of the road. Again, there were no wounded people or cars. However, my %$&#%#& Toyota broke his left front rim, his right front shock absorber and both (yes, both!!!) front traction axles are making more noise than hell...It didn't matter the tyres are MT (we had to put them because this animal couldn´t go to the farm even with its rear LSD; All three Landies are using AT and go with no problem at all) and all the front suspension is new. This is the end of the Hilux, we are putting it on sale and going for something stronger, like an Aveo or Civic.... thanks God there is a lot of people seeking for this "4x4" pick up....
