The first time my wife got a flat & by the time she got to a safe pace to stop on Ipswich road it was stuffed ,had to buy two tyres . The second time she hit a pot pole on Brisbanes good roads 7 were having to buy two more . Dumped the Michelins & fitted 4 Yokohamas for less than 2 Michelins . Was the best thing I could have done ,is a different car to drive even pleasent. The Michelins were so dangerous in the wet I wouldn't drive it over 90k's in the wet.
I have a set of the Goodyear Wrangler MTRs on my 90TDCi LE.
Today, I went out to Mount Hay at Leura, and got a rock poke through one of the sidewalls.
It completely buggered the tyre.
I was going along pretty slowly, I saw that there was a Mitsubishi 4wd van (Delica?) coming towards me, so I pulled over half off the road to let it past.
I heard a pop and then a hiss, BUGGER......
First picture is of the rock and the hole in the sidewall,
Second picture is of where it happened with the tyre just starting to deflate.
Been along the road there 50+ times on Motorbikes with road tyres with no problems, no flats, no damage....
Anyways will start to search and see if I can find anymore of these tyres tomorrow.

Mine did the same,I had a stick go through the side 5mins after getting on the Tallawana and a rock through another at well 33.Rubbish tyres in my opinion. Pat

I'm tending to agree with you about them being rubbish tyres!
The photo doesn't show the full amount of damage to them, one of the tread blocks on the tyre surface (not sidewall) is completely gone from the rock and the tyre has a split over 6inches long on the inside of it.
Two of the other tyres are pretty much buggered too, splits and cuts nearly through them.
I only have done 4900 Klms since new on the tyres/vehicle.
Anyways, I can get some of these same tyres, fitted and balanced for $296each,
But now looking for something else.......
Probably will go up in size a little bit, but have to save $$$$$ for a few weeks until I can afford a full set.
Any suggestions for 265 size tyres?
Used mainly on rock/dirt (not much mud) and hardly ever on sand.

I've had good luck with all makes other than the MTR's and Coopers,maxxis are good tyres for the price as are Pirelli. Pat
Just an FYI - the current model MTR is quite a good tyre in my experience - extremely durable, with great on road manners.
They aren't a road tyre but an offroad tyre,in my experience they can't do either. Pat
