We were able to drive 160Ks with the center diff locked to an RACV repairer as there are no Landrover Dealers in South West Victoria. A new box was ordered from Landrover with a 2 week delivery time then 10 days later they canceled our order stating the UK need the new units for there warranty jobs & ours would be another 6 weeks
Has anyone else had part order problems with Landrover or is the truth not being told?
The box since replaced last seemed to develope back lash which I put down to axle wear so replaced them with heavy duty units & hubs 2 weeks prior to leaving sydney for SA. After this it does not supprise me to hear they use reconditioned units for warranty.
Any ideas on what can be done to prolong the life of the transfer box eg oil cooler/higher grade oils/oil change frequency?
