Hi SK. just to give another option , Greame Cooper Land Rover Sydney.
When I brought my truck It has one fitted , It is galvi. It opens with the door , stays open with a locking pin that is simple easy to use and is very strong ie. I stand on it .!!..:)
I've got a Kmar, carries a 285/75x16 (33inch) been across the Simo and up the Cape and much more over 4 years it has been on, really is unbreakable !
But if I was replacing it.....it would be one of Murray's (Rididij) without doubt.
Exactly the same for me... My Kaymar has been / is excellent, strong & reliable but Murray will be getting my next carrier $... If this one ever fails, whenever that may be!
Why...
Value for money, customer service, approachability for something not quite standard, local'ish.

Another vote for Rijidij here. It replaced a previously twice broken "other brand"
There's no doubt the Kaymar is a robust unit. I'd say the Kaymar and my Rijidij carrier are both built to handle the harshest Australian conditions.
In comparison, the main selling points of my carrier would be :
- Automatically opens with the door, no latch to undo first, and allows rear seat passengers to open the door from the inside without having to open the carrier first.
- Automatically locks in the fully open position with a 12mm pin, and easy lever action to unlock.
- Also, the brackets that mount the carrier to the chassis are designed in a way that they spread the load more, including to the horizontal sections of the chassis.
Thanks for all the positive comments guys, if it's worth doing it's worth doing well.
Cheers, Murray
Rijidij. I rarely if ever find a product that can't be improved on and this is one.
Rijidij carrier ordered! Thanks.
Rijidij installed. Very impressive construction, and as a mech eng, very impressive design.
