Thread: fan came off

replace viscous fan 6-7 weeks ago no problem after finally getting the old one off
went for a drive over the week end and as usual check everything under the bonnet before i go and found that the fan had come off
refit the fan and started the motor everything was ok till i switched it off motor stopped and the fan spun off , refit fan again and gave the spanner a couple of good hits with a hammer hopefully that is the solution or should i be looking for another cause model 2002 110 td5

Tightening things up correctly usually helps to keep them on! A couple of sharp taps on the fan spanner should suffice.
