Don't let your door hinge bolts rust!

I used Duralac. I plan to test the bolts perhaps yearly to make sure they haven't seized.

One question I have - the old rusted bolts I replaced had a counter sunk head, which fitted nicely into the hinges. The stainless kit I received from Stig Fasteners had bolts with a "button" head. I can only assume that these aren't going to fit quite as nicely into the hinge - are they likely to cause me any problems down the track? Could the doors move slightly out of alignment for instance?

I don't think the hinges has changed at all in the last 30 odd years and Pumas have the Torx Button type fitted (both standard and now SS). They recess perfectly into the door hinges (mine's a 90) and I don't think you should have issues.

You could always go for the posh/ flash SS hinges Stig sells!!!

The Safari door hinge bolts are the button type in any case.
