Can't say I remember the part number either, but I bought one for my D2 and transferred it straight to the 2011 Defender. It was part of a kit, which was the Tow Tongue and loom. Works well, so as suggested maybe find a second hand one if a new ones a bit expensive. But from memory I think I thought it was a reasonable price.Quote:

I think I paid $10 including postage for a second hand trailer plug from a D2. Plugged straight in, easy as. I was told at the time that only Euro spec D2's came with the trailer plug lead, but not sure if that's correct so be worth checking any D2s in any dismantlers.Quote:

Hi all, this is a copy of my post on another thread , but no answers there.
I have been researching tow bar and trailer plugs here for a few nights now and purchased the RAA608 tow hitch and LR005920 yesterday for my new Defender 110.
I've been scratching my head all day looking at this LR005920 wiring kit and can't work out where to cut in the trailer brake controller.

- Pin 1 - Yellow - Left-hand turn indicator
- Pin 2 - Black - Reversing signal
- Pin 3 - White - Earth return
- Pin 4 - Green - Right-hand turn indicator
- Pin 5 - Blue - Service brakes
- Pin 6 - Red - Stop lamps
- Pin 7 - Brown - Rear lamps, clearance and side marker lamps
But pin 5 seems to go back through the plug into the vehicle. Could there be a plug up at the drivers position to wire in the brake controller?

Sorry Geoff, cant help specifically with which wire goes where.
For me I used a loom from my old D2. This allows you to just plug it in, and its done, as the plug comes "pre-wired", so no guess work.
Maybe if you have no joy here, you could go to a Auto Eleccy and he will wire the plug for you, or give you the colour codes for it. You can get it off the net too. I've found it before, but I'm not sure how I found it.
As for breaking into the cars main loom, if you cant find the colours to do it, if you get a test light, you can check them all and work it out. May take a while, and you'll need someone to push pedals etc, but it'll work.
following on from the above notes I have got a defender 90 2013 I have from Landybitz the wiring loom for easy connection But I am also baffled as to where to wire in a towpro elite trailer brake into the & pin outlet Any help would be gratefully recd. as we should be on the road pretty soon Cheers in advance john
You need to run the wiring for the brake controller, there is no plug and play like there is for the lights. There is a part number for the loom and plug and I got mine from the UK but you need to run a supply, earth, brake wire and sense to the brake controller. There areva few threads on here.

I have the genuine LR wiring loom including the large 7-pin plug which is mounted in the fake PTO opening in the rear cross member. My LR dealer installed my Redarc brake controller and it must be wired into the vehicle's loom because the trailer socket loom is plugged straight in and everything works fine.Quote:
