A bit of a hijack. It's not shielding problems but the OBDII port is non standard on the TD5 and the Puma.
This is the page that explains why you will have problems, at least on the Puma. Vehicle impaired when UltraGauge is attached

I use the CAN isolation cable with a forced protocol. Have had no problems since.
