the people in the office at go via told me it wouldn't work on the car bracket in my discovery, but it is working perfect, I go over at the bridge at least twice a day and don't have issues,

It did work when I held it by hand against the windscreen, also if you do hold it by hand and its around the wrong way it doesn't work. Mine did work when I had it sitting on the dashboard, as long as the clip groove was facing the right way

yes, attached to mounting bracket both times, just not attached/stuck to windscreen. The mounting bracket is only plastic, so not sure how that would effect it anyway?

Disco windscreen has more rake than the Defender. I wonder if that effects anything?

You have to argue with the etoll mob to get them to send you the correct truck bracket but they eventually will give you one free if you persist.
I've had a Go Via tag on 2 x Defenders & a D2 with the standard mount behind the mirror no problem (Not in Brisbane though).

Yep and you even have to argue with them to get them to send you the right bracket so they can take money of you

They are angled and have a picture of a truck on the back. I have not fitted this bracket after replacing my windscreen. Tried holding up the tag last time I went through the the toll rd and it did not work. By the way they can see from the photo they take when you go through the scanner and if they you are holding the tag and they will charge you the photo matching fee if you try to tell them the tag just did not work.

thanks, that is the one I have been sent. Ill set it up as you describe just above the dash. BTW, did you mount it vertically or horizontally? . I dont care that they charge me, I did go through the toll after all. It should just be the normal amount coming off my account I would have thought (whether the e tag works or not.)
