regardless of look, I'm not so sure that's a good tourer anyway. How many in the car? You may be better building a 110 wagon, or a 130. The 110 cab-ute, if you leave the spare where LR put it, virtually chews up 1/3 of the back. If you move it then you still don't have much room if you put a lid on the tub.
Even if there is only two in the car and put a fridge in the back seat area; that leaves you sleeping in a tent. I would think if your that worried about getting ambushed driving, then sleeping in a tent is definitely not on the cards. I guess if your paying to sleep at impounded dwellings then that's a bit different.
A 110 wagon, with 2 people, gives access via back doors, and possible sleeping in the back. And nice and safe with the IRA mesh window guards.
I do like the little sun visor, do you know how that was done.

I'll bet its easy to wash, eh??? hehe
Guess most overland trips don't go to png.
Got thinking, maybe I was too hard on this rig and at the end of the day maybe it's just a bit of fun.
It is a little boring to be practical all the time
Nah Benny, that's what we do here. Bag it and then some one will tell the good things about it and that's how we get our eyes opened and learn![]()
not quite true, russian laws are far more restrictive than australia.
you can not even put bling valve caps on!!!!!
how ever if you have that much money for a rig like that, then you or your Daddy must have a bit of weight around town so no cop is going to stick his neck out and risk trying to stop you.
simple realy
[QUOTE=steane;2041029]Looks like a b-grade movie prop to me. I reckon people would point and laugh at you.
Not to mention they would wiggle their little finger as well. Pat
Almost every vehicle that's carrying non locals outside of Port Moresby, PNG has caging and a firearm better to be safe than sorry...
Have to disagree most cages are for aggressive local transport drivers, the vast majority of expat drivers have no cages, except for thee ****** FIFO mining *******, me I drive with the window down and give the nod & smile. But then I've only been here since 61, so prob doing it all wrong.
Firearms forget it, grow some balls instead.

By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

My response was over the top, sparked (drunk) and loving where I am.
