Hi-Lift jack/Gurka knife does the job pretty well, bit messy though.
Try explaining that to your uni lecturer...

Brid - what's that square thing on your bullbar for?

Hey Spudboy! That is a frame I made for hanging the second spare off. I just bolt on the standard rear tyre carrier bracket, and the 2nd spare sits up front.
I'll see if I can find a photo, but not one on this computer.
Hit a roo on the way home from a Christmas function last night. Have yet to look at the damage in daylight, but by torchlight seems to be restricted to the RH front flare, the driver's step, and the sill panel.
As may be apparent, the bullbar was not involved.

Hopefully minimal damage John...
Can everyone stop crashing into stuff, especially if they have a Defender and are doing damage to the parts I need. They are hard to get you know.:D
Hi Brid,
Would love to see a photo with the spare on the front. Not sure it would be legal in Vic though.I usually have to carry my second spare inside the vehicle and your idea seems like the perfect solution for me
Cheers
Mary
I'd hate to think what the cooling system load is like with that much airflow disrupted...
oh my god noooooooooooo gillie!!! haha its ok, im working on your painting of your defender still :)
it stood up well considering is minus a bull bar and the speed you were travelling, ive seen lesser cars hit them at lower speeds and been a massive mess :( silly bouncing dead weights they are!
there should be parts down at triumph rover spares. if you need let me know i can go in there and look around for you :) there is also lots of range rovers that have been on fire in there hahahah!
