What skinny as a second bonnet mount spare

do you carry other heavy stuff on rear. Seen High lift jacks on Bullbars,

And I saw a terrific little, very low roof rack attached to a Range Rover Classic bonnet. He used this to carry his collected firewood when camping. He is on this forum, but I have yet to see him post [not that I get time to read most threads], and he might not want me to mention his user name so I wont post his user name. But perhaps something heavy from the back other than a tire, something low like a gas stove could also be carried this way-- but do not ask me if it will be legal. He may only use this bonnet mounted roof rack off road when camping.

By the way I used the term roof rack to describe it though it possibly should not be called "ROOF RACK" as it is mounted on the bonnet.

I understand there is no room for a well in bonnet given the height of the Td5- and I'm not handy enough to do anything like that myself anyway.

There is no other item that comes close to the density or overall mass of the spare that I could shift forward instead.

Thanks to all for the replies - I'll just stick with the 235/85R16 or the 750R16.

Forgot, but our Northern Rivers RFS has a couple of Defender traybacks with the spare tire mounted on the Bullbar. That may be an alternative for you. Saw a Toyota with one on Bullbar which reminded me.

IIRC, illegal.

In Tweed heads Tender Center this weekend is one of those very narrow spares that are slim to take little room. Sorry I did not take note of its size or what rim. It had on it not for road use, that is it is just to get you to a garage. They do post things on the net, and if it may be suitable may post it to you. I was looking for 225/70/R16, and glanced at it while passing. It looks New, but would not really be for offroad, but thought I would mention it.

wheel dia is important. or you may cook your transfer case.

bonnett is reinforced for the mount.

get a S!!! mount and locking hook things, do not forget the 4 rubber blocks that the wheel actualy sits on

i use a Dunlop road gripper, 7.5 X 16 which gives me 33" dia, its a light truck wheel
