Ah.. They're using that system now  Wonder how long they've been using that.
Thats a great set up.. Interestingly, if you go to a panel shop you'll find that for each vehicle colour there are usually multiple codes...
This is because the pigment in several manufacturers who paint like that gets just a little from the last colour - A Suzuki colour for example offers 4 versions - complete, red, blue, yellow - all for a Grey shade!!!
I wonder if they are just trying to keep the Keswick a little exclusive / control its numbers ;)
They were using it on the RR line when I went there in 2004. From what I gathered at the time the L322 was a bit of a revolution for their processes.
They were certainly very proud of it at the time, but wouldn't let us anywhere near the Disco2 or Defender lines. They seemed quite embarassed about the Defender line, a bit different to now.
Cheers,
Jon
Little twerp, i dont like him already :D
I was talking to a chap the other day, he's, got 3 special editions.
Another chap said his new Heritage was going in the aircraft hanger for a few years then selling it on to make a profit. ( cant see that happening )
I'm not surprised you're confused! Others get lost with what I do with my cars. In fact, the more confusing it is, the better it is so my wife has no idea what she is complaining about :)
With the hope that my wife will not read this, I have the following 90's either with me or ordered..
1) 90 Adventure, Phoenix Orange, with sun hatch, cold climate pack and side runners, dark tinted windows - driving this now and thoroughly enjoying it!
2) 90, Corris Grey, Black Pack, Black side runners, Red full leather pack, sun hatch, cold climate pack, dark tinted windows - confirmed to be produced in 12/15 and delivered Feb or March 2016
3) 90, Keswick Green, brown full leather pack, cold climate pack, sun hatch, white roof, white steel wheels ... was to be built Dec 15 and delivered Feb/March 16 as a MY16. This is the order that cannot be delivered.
So, I am hoping I can get a car with a similar build as (3) above ... Clear as mud?
