Have a 2008 130 which I have just changed from a tub to a tray to fit my Trayon Camper. Aircon works too well and freezes my left arm.

No leaks and mine sits out in the weather at the moment in the pouring rain. I had a 200 Tdi in which you could have raised yabbies on the floor after rain. The Puma is as dry as a bone.

Love the new unit. It drives like a dream and is much quieter than the 200 and any of the 300 or Td5s I have been in.

    You won't be dissapointed

With 85k on the clock . I guess I am just weary as I don't know much about the Puma.
Have a close look at the underneath of the car. It will tell you a lot about how the car has been used, whether it has had a hard life in its 85000kms, and generally how well it has been looked after. Major dents, scrapes and oil leaks will all indicate a car that has had a hard life, regardless how shiny it is on the top or how much dollars have been invested in add-ons.

Went and had a look this morning,
he spent a lot of money o her ! The main problem is at 85k the service history is null and void since 30k service ... he said he's been doing it himself

I had a good look under and yeah it's had a hard life

    oh well keep looking

Don't discount it because of owner service, I bought a 300Tdi with 300,000 on he clock and no service history, just need to get it checked properly. And you have to remember it is a 4x4.

Yeah I do understand Trundle , but this guy was a little "forgetful " when I stared questioning him about it all.
He has f/r lockers racks draws you name it .... and he new exactly how much where from who fitted it ... then very vauge on anything other than "Oh yeah I dropped the oil every 5000"
When asked about when the coolant was last changed , he looked at me , loked at his wife stuttered looked back at the car and said "last service" ... when was that ? ummmm 30k service 2011

I'd stay away from it too. Owner-servicing doesn't necessarily scare me but I need to be convinced that it's been done and done properly. I do all my own work on my Tdi, and every little thing has been documented. I can tell you the date and the km at which every job, no matter how insignificant, was carried out for the last ten years - and I have dealer service record before that. That's the kind of record that would give me confidence. It might be alright, but there are more out there. I'd keep looking.

I'd be more worried about his competence than his memory - I service my own moto well beyond standard servicing requirements but couldn't tell you when the coolant was last changed - been done three times at least though.

Frankly a complete LR servicing history would be more likely to put me off buying a car than the other way round...
