My God...I really feel for you. I just read the whole thing and to say I'm ****ed off is an understatement. Is it time for lawyers? May be you're only option for a decent outcome. Good luck with it all.

next time i talk about buying a new land rover, show me this thread.
I would be sending an email to John Cadogan. He seems to put rockets up dealers on a regular basis.
you have the patience of Jobe
but sadly i hear tales like it on way too regular a basis.
and is the reason i bought a well used second hand land rover and not a new one, i couldn't bring myself to do it.
i cannot understand how sagas like this are allowed to continue with the advent of the Australian Consumer Law 2010.
a basic tenet of which is that a consumer should have undisturbed possession of the goods, that they be fit for purpose and should work as described
surely there has to be an effective redress to a situation such as yours.....
I hope you find it sooner rather than later.
I feel for you Digger, its a disgrace. I had some issues with mine in similar vain to yours. Three months they had my car for, and in the end the problem was exactly what I told them it was the first day it was there.
I almost popped the guys that called it "its just a truck, what do you expect?", and on my last visit to Melb, several guys positioned themselves strategically behind the counter. Not quite sure what the customers in the place thought about with the ensuing language, but I suspect every single person in that building from management to mechanic knew not to open their mouths.
That’s really disappointing. Any other avenues you haven’t tried yet?
You are a saint Digger...
You suck Solitaire.
